Tara
International Production Manager
Tara is a Film Writer, Director, and International Production Manager. She holds a BA in Film Studies from the University of Warwick (2016) and an MA in Directing from Met Film School, UK (2018). She works as a full-time freelance filmmaker, developing films, commercials, music videos, and documentaries.
Her short film The Shadow of Cairo has been showcased at over twelve international festivals, including Oscar-qualifying events like Cinequest and the New York International Children’s Film Festival, where it was a finalist for the Jury Award. Her latest short, Alone With You, premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival and earned a nomination for Best Narrative Short, before continuing its run at several other festivals.
In Yemen, Tara has worked on projects that explore the country’s dramatic landscapes, architectural heritage, and deeply rooted cultural traditions. She is drawn to the rich history and emotional depth found in everyday life across the region.
